Posted on September 15, 2023 By vishwakosh No Comments on Palani Temple Timings, Book Online

Palani Murugan Temple, also known as Subramanya Swamy Temple, is believed to be one of the most sacred temples in South India. It stands on one of the hills which are along the foothills of Palani Hills in the city of Palani, Tamil Nadu. The temple is reverenced for the worship of Lord Kartikeya, the first son of Lord Shiva. He is also famously worshipped with the name of Palani. We get back Panchamirtham as an offering that is made of five things. People believe that Lord Kartikeya abodes in about six temples and Palani is one of them.

Guide on how to visit Palani Swamy

You can reach Palani via road, rail, or air. If you prefer to visit the temple via rail then you need to catch a train to Palani railway station nearby to this temple. Dindigul and Coimbatore are also two railway stations that seem plausible to travel to because of their proximity to the city.

If traveling via air suits your preference, then there are two airports which stand nearby to the city. These are Coimbatore and Madurai airports. Since Palani has no airport, the route of choice would be to visit Coimbatore which is approximately 110 kilometers from the city, and then come via bus or cab.

If you are planning a road trip, then you do not need to think much because Palani is well-connected to almost all the cities in Tamil Nadu. You can ride a car, cab, bike, or even bus. The buses here are being run by the government and therefore, the fares are relatively lower.
